What Song Of The Year So Far Is “Buga,” “Sungba,” “Last Last,” Or “Overdose”?

Since we are in the last week of June, we will have completed half of the year 2022 in a few days.

Major collaboration songs including “Baddest Boy,” “Finesse,” and “Omo Ope” roiled the airwaves at the start of the year.

Then, additional artists emerged with fresh bangers, including Rema, Asake, Fireboy, and Adekunle Gold. Some even released new albums during the year’s first two months.

However, it wasn’t until May that there was a wave of new song releases that included Burna Boy, Davido, and Asake.

Overall, this year has been exciting and filled with a lot of great music. New content has been released by a number of artists, including Rema, Fireboy, Burna Boy, Davido, Zinoleesky, Naira Marley, Simi, etc.

It’s time to assess the songs that got us through the first half of 2022 as we approach the second half of the year.

Granted, some of the biggest musicians haven’t actually released anything yet (Olamide, Wizkid), but as the year draws to a close, this will undoubtedly change. Definitely.

Four songs have so far emerged as front-runners for Song of the Year among the countless others that have been published in these six months:

1. Buga by Kizz Daniel and Tekno (Lo Lo Lo)
Second, Burna Boy’s “Last Last”
3. Sunga by Asake and Burna Boy (Remix)
4. Mavins, “Overloading (Overdose),” featuring LADIPOE, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Magixx, and Boy Spyce
Which of these songs is the best so far this year? Please include it in the comments if you have any further suggestions that aren’t on the list.
