We May End the Strike in Two Days – Provides the Most Recent Information

The Federal Government has the ability to address the outstanding concerns in just two days, according to the Academic Staff Union of Universities, or ASUU.

Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, the president of ASUU, claimed during an appearance on the Beehivegossips program that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is uninterested in addressing the union’s requests.

While President Buhari and other government officials are negotiating with the union to end the eighth-month strike, he criticized the Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige, for bringing the union to the National Industrial Court, or NIC.

He stated:

“The government’s lack of interest in finding solutions to the problems is obvious to all Nigerians. These problems can be handled in just one or two days, as I previously stated.

But everything is being played with by them. Why would a labor minister go to court while the provost is speaking with the president who has committed to respond?

“How can you be sure that you will have the best teaching and research if you push lecturers into class? If the federal government is interested, this issue can be fixed in a single day.
