Program of the Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator in Kenya: The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator, in collaboration with Strathmore University’s @iBizAfrica incubator, is accepting applications from Kenyan female entrepreneurs.

Kenya is one of the countries that is eligible.

Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya is where the test will be taken.

The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya Program Award is sponsored by Standard Chartered. The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya is Africa’s leading women in technology incubator, supporting requests for greater diversity in technology and more opportunity for women to acquire entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Standard Chartered is launching the program in collaboration with Strathmore University’s @iBizAfrica.

The program combines world-class startup support with local and international experience to create Africa’s most competitive and appealing startup incubation program, focusing on immersive learning, mentorship, building and growing Africa’s next iconic startups that address the continent’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.

Entrepreneurship (type)

Eligibility: For the Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya Program, we are looking for the brightest entrepreneurs and female-led startup teams who are using technology as a primary driver of business innovation. The applicant must meet the following requirements:

be a lady
be the CEO of a corporation with equal or majority ownership, and be of Kenyan nationality.

SME Impact Program 2022 for Nigerian Small and Medium Enterprises (Oxfam-EDC) (SMEs)

Junior Professionals Program for West African Women by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in 2022

Criteria:

The company must be based in Kenya, that is, it must be aligned with Kenyan requirements and operate in Kenya.
The organization must be tech-enabled and/or utilize developing technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Augmented & Virtual Reality, 3D & 4D Printing, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Blockchain, Drone Technology, and Biometrics, among others.
A woman must have an equal or majority ownership in the company she started or co-founded.
The founder or co-founder must be over the age of 18 and a Kenyan national.
The company model must be focused on sustainability and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Operation time ranges from 3 months to less than 5 years.
For proof of concept, customer, product, and business model development, I’m looking for help.
Early traction and pre-revenue (users).
With the introduction of a new business module, there is an added benefit of post revenue.

Responsibilities

Participants must be physically available for the entire three-month incubation period.
The costs of participant lodging are not covered.
