Justice Tanko Muhammad, Nigeria’s Chief Justice, has submitted his letter of resignation.

According to sources who spoke with Channels TV about the growing situation, Tanko resigned from his position on Sunday because of health problems.

According to additional evidence, there are intentions to appoint Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, the next-highest ranking justice on the Supreme Court, as acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

This comes days after 14 Supreme Court justices complained in a letter to the Chief Justice of India about the sorry state of affairs at the court.

The judges claimed in a memo that was leaked that the judiciary’s budget had not grown over the previous four years.

The justices of the Supreme Court acknowledged that they chose to write Justice Tanko in an effort to uphold the integrity of the legal system.
