Tell me about the Junior Professionals Program at Catholic Relief Services (CRS):
The Junior Professionals Program provides skilled, professional women in West Africa with the opportunity to turn their enthusiasm for international relief and development into a career with Catholic Relief Services. Each Junior Professional will develop core skills while working alongside experienced employees and supporting critical initiatives over the course of a year. As they prepare for roles of greater responsibility with CRS, junior professionals will benefit from robust mentoring and regional networking.

What is the nature of this scholarship?

Who is eligible to apply for the Junior Professionals Program at Catholic Relief Services (CRS)?
We are looking for applicants who are varied and aligned, and we accept persons of all faiths and secular traditions who share our beliefs and dedication to helping those who are in need.

Qualifications required:

A master’s degree in a comparable subject is required (e.g. Economic Development, Agriculture, Health, Business, Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain)
Within 24 months of the start of the program, I received a Master’s degree (Oct. 2022)
Work experience of at least six months in a relevant field (e.g. internship, practicum, volunteer or paid work)
Excellent speaking and writing abilities in the country’s official business language (French or English)
a citizen of one of the participating countries (see above)
In a multicultural collaborative context, she shines.
Availability to travel (up to 10-15 percent of the time)
Qualifications that are preferred:

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research abilities
Results-oriented, proactive, resourceful, and agile
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator in Kenya is a program run by Standard Chartered (Cohort 5)

Junior Professionals will improve and expand their abilities in project design, program management, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning, partnership building, and operations through hands-on experience and thorough training.
Mentorship: Each Junior Professional will be assigned a mentor who will assist them with advice, feedback, and career counseling.
Junior Professionals will enhance their skills in a specialized area relating to their professional development goals, and strategically position themselves for future employment with CRS, in addition to the core training.
Regional networking: All Junior Professionals will be a part of a regional community of practice where they may discuss their work’s accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned.
