Following the Supreme Court decision that favored Ademola Adeleke as the party’s candidate in the gubernatorial primary election, the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State has removed Dotun Babayemi.

Babayemi had asked the court to become involved in his appeal against the PDP gubernatorial primary poll that gave Adeleke her victory.

The party applauded the judiciary for upholding its duty as the “house of justice” at the same time.

Babayemi no longer belongs to the PDP, the party said in a press release issued on Thursday in Osogbo and signed by Adekunle Akindele, the interim chairman of the Osun PDP.

The expelled politician should not be accommodated in PDP matters, the party further cautioned.

“As we are celebrating, we must emphasize very firmly that a mole among us who was an active agent of the APC had since lost his membership in the PDP,” the message continued. He or his agenda should not be again accommodated by any party organs or affiliates.

“Any party member who pursues a relationship with an expelled member runs the possibility of being accused of anti-party activity and subject to the corresponding punishments. Fifth columnists must be eliminated by putting a lot of pressure on them. The party chairman said, “We must uproot them and remove their branches.
